General Todd: You were a friend, a colleague, a confidant, and a prince of a guy. Thank you so much for all you did for my Air Force career, for the United States Air Force, and for the people of this nation. Pam and I will always remember the friendship and kindness you and Wendy showed to Pam and me. James S. O'Rourke, IV, Lt. Col., USAF (Ret.)

Rest in peace, "Pete". It was wonderful seeing you again at our 307th Bomb Wing reunion here in Lincoln not long ago. I remember the good times we had at the old Lincoln Air Force Base here.

General Todd was my commander at McChord AFB in 1980 - 1082. We all respected him and thought he was a great person to work for and great role model. I am very sorry for your family's loss, as he was a great leader.

General Todd was one of the first people I met when I entered the Air Force Academy. He was one of the AOG reps who briefed each incoming Cadet on the significance of the challenge bridge and kindly did it again this year for the fourth classmen who didn't get to initially experience it during Waldo Canyon. He was truly an inspirational leader. My sincere condolences to the family.

Pete was a principled man and good friend. I remember him well from our time together at Westover AFB and during Arc light ops in Southeast Asia.flying the BUFF.

Pete Todd was a mentor and friend. He managed with integrity, was fair, consistent at the helm and inspired people around him. I will miss the lunches we had as recently as last month. He would make a special trip to Denver just to meet colleagues from National Stroke Association. He will not be forgotten.

What a great neighbor to have. A giant intellect, a mischievous sense of humor, a terrific story telling ability and an acceptance of the world as it was while never forgetting what it could be! We are shocked you are no longer 'over the back fence' and mourn your passing deeply. Much love from your newest friends, Oliver and Michael

Pete and I were both B-52 aircraft commanders at Westover AFB starting in 1967. We experienced SAC alert and rotations to Guam to fly the Arc Light bombing missions in Vietnam. Pete became a great friend who was always able to make me laugh even in the most tense situations. He was an inspiring leader and friend to all who flew with him.
I am sincerely grieved that he is gone.
