James Boysen Obituary

James T. Boysen passed away on October 31, 2010 at Pikes Peak Care Center where he had been a resident in the Alzheimer's facility for four and a half years. He was born in Holly, Colorado on May 18, 1933 to John N. and Estelle (Burger) Boysen. The family moved to Canon City, Colorado in 1941, where he graduated from high school in 1951. He joined the Air Force in 1952, and was honorably discharged in 1956. He was employed in Civil Service from 1956 until his retirement in 1980. He then worked for Hospital Data Services, Ford Aero Space, Honeywell and Kaman Science, retiring in 1992. He met Georgina Kregness in Great Falls, Montana in 1955. They were married on January 15, 1957 in Great Falls. In addition to Georgina, James is survived by their daughter Laura (Steve) Rains of Windsor, Colorado, their son Arthur (Cathy) of Veradale, Washington, two grand-daughters Alicia and Shellene Rains, one brother Darrell (Marge) of Canon City, and one sister Estelle (Bob) Hanna of Shawnee Mission, Kansas. He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers - John Herschel and Harry Eugene. A memorial service will be held at Cappadona's Family Services Funeral Home on Saturday, November 6th at 1:00 pm. Memorials may be sent to St. David's Episcopal Church, 36 Edlowe Rd., Woodland Park 80863, or Alzheimer's Association in c/o Donna Velasquez, Pikes Peak Care Center, 2719 N. Union Blvd., Colorado Springs 80909.

The few times we have met Georgina and James they were fun to be around took them on a boat tour of Lake Coeur d' Alene James seem to enjoy ,and neat smile and dry sense of humor.. He will be missed prayers for everyone. hugs to everyone!
