James "Jim" Madison Chancellor, 87, passed away on December 28, 2021.

He was born on November 13, 1934, to parents, John and Cecil Chancellor in Springfield, Missouri. Shortly after his birth the family moved to Fountain, Colorado, where he grew up. He was a lifelong rancher who touched the hearts of many while he was with us.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, John and Cecil; and his stepsons, Carl and Jay.

He is survived by his children, Debra (James) Morrow of Boise, Idaho, Tim (Minnie) Chancellor of Broken Bow, Nebraska, and Mandy (Barb Huber) Chancellor of Pueblo, Colorado; his wife, Loretta Chancellor; stepchildren, Susie (Dean) Hrdlichk of Cañon City, Colorado, Joel Simco of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Jill (Theron) Bennett of Falcon, Colorado; five grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; eleven step great-grandchildren; and his first wife, Paula.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in Jim's memory be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 1128 East Boulder Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.

Condolences to the Chancellor family. I had the pleasure of working with Jim when he participated in the IRM (Integrated Resource Management) program at Colorado State University. I was a faculty member at CSU at the time. He was a kind and caring person, and I always enjoyed the time I spent with him.
