Janice L. Moser, age 91, passed away on August 29, 2023. She was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado for 71 years and was formerly a resident of Calhan, Colorado. Janice was such a loving woman who always put others first. Through her humor and wit, she shared the lessons of life with all those who knew her.
She attended Calhan High School and graduated in 1950. She went on to attain a Secretarial Degree, while her husband Edward A. Moser was fighting in the Korean War. During her working years, Janice worked for Reynolds Construction Company as a bookkeeper and office manager.
Janice was born on June 28, 1932, to Jesse and Myrtle (Hobbs) Townley in Calhan, Colorado. On August 20, 1950, she married Edward A. Moser in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
She was fond of bowling, playing cards and embroidery. She also enjoyed reading; however, her main focus for the last 20 years was to love, nurture, help set life's responsibilities and help raise her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Kirk E. Moser, Dennis A. Moser, and Liesa Kay Kreul; her siblings: Lyle Townley and Archie Townley; 9 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward A. Moser (2003); and her sister, Eva A Beaman (2021).
A visitation will be held from 12:00 pm on Saturday, September 16, 2023, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 pm at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. A reception will be held following the funeral service directly across the street at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 South Union Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
Janice passed peacefully in her home of 64 years, surrounded by her loving family.
