Jay Harold Lloyd McKee passed away on May 1, 2021. He was born September 24, 1947 in Colorado Springs, CO to Harold Lloyd McKee and Zella Mae McKee. He was married to Linda Sikole McKee for 23 years. He is survived by his brother Ron (Connie) McKee and son, Jason (Samantha) McKee. Grandpa is survived by 5 grandchildren, DJ (Trista), Linda (Sean), Bryce, Samuel, Courtney; great grandchildren, Cashden and Jorden. He was preceded in death by a wife, Linda, daughters, Leanne Kaufman and Dawn McKee, grandson, Cody, parents Harold and Zella Mae McKee and adopted brother, Jack Plunkett.
Jay spent the first few years of his life on the family farm in Falcon, CO before moving to Colorado Springs, CO. He graduated from Palmer High School in 1965 where he was a part of the state champion baseball team his senior year. He joined the army in 1969 where he served with the 8th Group Special Forces in Panama. Jay was a part of the local IBEW 113 where he started as an apprentice in 1972. He finished his career at Lockheed Martin as the Facilities Engineer Supervisor until he retired in October 2015. He was well respected and beloved by all that worked with him and for him.
He lived out the remainder of his life at his ranch in Woodland Park, CO. He enjoyed spending his time traveling to rodeos and watching his grandkids play ball.
A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Swan-Law Funeral Home from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, 501 N. Cascade Ave. Colorado Springs. A memorial service will be held at the Flying W Ranch at 2:00 pm on Monday, May 10, 2021, 3330 Chuckwagon Rd. A reception will follow immediately after the service. A private full military honors burial service will be held at a different time and location. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that honorariums are sent to the Boys and Girls Club of Colorado Springs or The Flying W Ranch Foundation.

Im so sorry to hear about ur dad Jason he was a great man father and coach. I will never forget when your dad and my dad coached are park and reck baseball teams. Or when ur dad would take us up to the cabin. And we would let us ride the 3 wheeler. Some of my best memories as a kid!
