Jerome Spaulding Obituary

Jerome A. Spaulding, 86 passed away unexpectedly at his home in Colorado Springs.

He was born to Jerome Aloyisus and Marie Spaulding in Montclair, New Jersey. He graduated from Newton High School in 1947 and spent two years at the Merchant Marine Academy in New York. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1950 to 1953 and returned to Newton and worked as a meat cutter for many years. Jerome switched career and studied to become a computer programmer and was successful in working for Chubb and Son in 1970. He retired from Chubb in 1992 and followed his children out to Colorado.

Jerome is survived by his wife, Jeanene and his sons Stephen J. (Robin) Spaulding of Cascade and Andrew W. Spaulding of Littleton. His grandchildren include Justin (Detroit), Carlye (Cascade) and Gabriella and Connor (Littleton).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 12th at 2:00 pm at Holy Rosary Chapel in Cascade, CO. Inurnment will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. There is a memorial fund set up in Jerome's memory.
