1919-2006 Jerry Crosby, former Sky Sox player, passed away on October 15 of a heart related illness. Jerry was born in St. Louis, MO and moved to Tulsa, OK as a child. After attending the University of Oklahoma, Jerry saw the U.S. as journeyman baseball player and manager; joining the Colorado Springs Sky Sox in 1950. In one eventful night he hit four home runs! During that time, he had a weekly sports radio show on KVOR and appeared as a sports panelist on early day local TV. He settled in Woodland Park in the late 80s and enjoyed wood working and traveling; and most recently had lived at the Cheyenne Mountain Care Center. He is survived by two daughters: Linda Patterson of West Lebanon, NH and Camille Crosby of Chandler, AZ; and two granddaughters: Kelly Patterson of Middletown, NY and Kristy Bronner of West Lebanon, NH.
