Nephew Jesse. I will alway cherish the memories of his childhood, college days in Des Moines and adulthood adventures! Even as an adult, he still called me His Aunt Dee Dee and would want to snuggle on my lap. Our recent conversations involved planning a trip to France with his Mom and "Grandpa." We talked for hours. It has been a blessing to have him in our lives and never to be forgotten. My sincere condolences to Julia, Neal, Graham and Warren. Peace, Jesse. Love you guys. Aunt LaDene

I've been remembering how Jesse was so social and friendly at our Foss family brunches...always smiling! That's a good way to remember him.

Jesse left everything he touched - people, places, organizations - better than he found it. And that's about the best legacy a person can leave. He will be missed.

Jesse was so amazing. He introduced me to entire cultures and of course exposed me to new foods. It was always an adventure with him. Watching a break dancing competition in San Francisco or having a wonderful fresh shrimp dinner with him and Warren in Louisiana. Along with a wine shopping tour that took hours even though "grandpa" did not want to go. Warren you were the best for him. I can not believe all of what you two accomplished. I love you both.

We had only met and started to get to know Jesse in the past year. And for that time my family is grateful. We are grateful for the conversations we had, the lessons he taught us and for the chance to get a glimpse into Jesse´s generous heart. Jesse will be missed so much by all who knew him. His beautiful soul will live on in the music he organized and played, the food he planted and the lessons he taught us. He taught us so much about what it means to give back and support our community as well as how to lift up people when they are struggling.
We have several favorite memories of Jesse. They include watching him explain the intricacies of an inexpensive bottle of wine behind the back of a Jeep on a chilly fall day, showing our kids a giant eagle nest high up in a white pine and singing the Reading Rainbow theme song and other show tunes together.
Warren- thank you for sharing him with us and letting us experience the love you two shared for each other. We are thinking of you and sending you thoughts of peace and healing during this difficult time.

JESSE DAVIS...
I can see from the words written about Jesse that I have missed out in not knowing him. I only saw him a few times when he was very young and I was visiting Neal and Julia. I do remember his bright eyes, set gently in a face that looked out at the world with an eager fearlessness.
I am getting to now him a bit more with each word spoken of him in praise.
As the Irish say over here when mourning a loved one who has passed:
We are sorry for trouble, Neal, Julia and Warren.

Jesse was a very talented Violinist when he was in middle school and high school. He played in my private strings group called the Anesthetic Experience. He was a wonderful and talented kid. I am very saddened by his death.

Jesse walked me into the next chapter of my life. Helping me find my new home after a 30 year marriage. He grounded me, kept me in the now. Focused on my future. I couldn´t and wouldn´t have wanted to do this journey with anyone else. If there is such a thing as a friend soulmate... Jesse was mine.
