Judy Marie Carlson, a longtime Colorado Springs resident went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 7, 2020. She was born February 28, 1945 in Champaign, IL to Marie V. Grosso and Lloyd S. Procter.
Judy grew up in Denver and married her husband, Roger W. Carlson, December 19, 1965. They traveled in the military for over 20 years living in different states across the U.S., and Germany, until Roger retired in Colorado Springs in 1984. Judy was the owner of Pyramid Publications in Colorado Springs from 1984-1999, and was an active volunteer and contributor for the Healing Images Artfest, survivors of sexual trauma. She enjoyed writing stories and sharing expressive healing through creative forms of art. A favorite pastime was to bring joy to residents of nursing homes by visiting them with her therapy dog, Sundance. She was a member of Grace First Church. She was a dearly loved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be missed greatly.
In addition to her beloved husband whom she was married to for 55 years, she is survived by her son, Eric W. Carlson; her daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne & Matt Dubois; and her granddaughter, Katerina Dubois. She will be interred at the Pikes Peak National Cemetery.
