Still think of Karen every 12/04 on her birthday as we always spoke on that day even though we were so far apart and hadn´t seen each other in many years. She was my first best friend when I moved to Skokie and we were inseparable. Such great memories of the times we spent together.

I just learned of Karen´s passing.
We were best friends since kindergarten in Skokie. Karen & I both wanted to be Spanish teachers- she actually became one! I did visit her in Colorado in 1976 and it was like we were 11 again. We laughed a lot and had a great time. I will miss her.

So sad to see that my dear friend and co-worker passed away. She was oneof the most loved teachers at Palmer High and a person with a big heart. She also had the greatest sense of humor. RIP my friend.

I was Karen´s student teacher in 1989. She was a wonderful teacher who loved what she did.

Ms. McCarthy was my Spanish teacher at Palmer. She was a gifted teacher. She was kind and fun to her students. A good human being. I was saddened to learn of her passing.
