Kevin Kenyon Briggs, 71, passed away at his home in Palmer Lake, Colorado, on July 3, 2025.
Calling hours will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the Shrine of Remembrance at 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. in Colorado Springs, and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11, St. Peter's Catholic Church in Monument with reception following.
Kevin was born on January 2, 1954, in Rome, New York. His family moved to Colorado Springs during his childhood, where he later graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School. He earned a degree in Business from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. A curious and lifelong learner, Kevin explored a variety of subjects during his college years, making him a well-rounded individual—and an impressive Jeopardy! enthusiast.
For more than 30 years, Kevin worked as a customer-focused salesman, known for his warmth, wit, and dedication. He was an endearing cook for loved ones. He was a steadfast hockey, golf, and soccer fanatic. Above all, Kevin cherished time spent with his beloved wife and family.
Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Helen; his father, James; and his brother, David. He is survived by his loving wife, Jane; his adored son, Evan (Melodie); and his treasured grandchildren: Camden, Hannah, and Sophie. He is also survived by his brothers, Thomas and Peter; and sisters-in-law Ann, Canice, and Mary Ann; as well as his many loving nieces and nephews.
Known affectionately as Kev-O-Matic, Kelvin, and Briggzee, Kevin built a life rooted in deep friendships, invaluable family bonds, and a passion for the Colorado community. His legacy as a loving father extends beyond Colorado to his son and grandchildren in Wisconsin. His love for Jane was constant and enduring, and will remain with her always.
