Kimberley Matthews Obituary

Kimberley K. Matthews of Eagle CO passed away on May 12, 2005 in the Vail Valley Medical Center in Vail CO. Kim was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints serving  in many capacities but especially loved working with the young women of the church.  Kimberley was employed as the Director of Sales at Steammaster in Minturn. She loved her Colorado mountains and being in the beautiful outdoors. Kim will always be remembered for her warm smile, cheerful disposition and dedication to whatever task she undertook. She dearly loved her family and friends and was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter and sister. She leaves a legacy of faithful perseverance to those who knew and loved her. Kim was a graduate of Lewis-Palmer High School in Monument in 1981 and then attended Utah State University in Logan Utah where she met and married Larry Matthews in 1986. Mrs. Matthews  is survived by her husband Larry and their four children: Megan, Bryan, Melodey and McKensey.  She is also survived by her parents: Floyd G and LaVonne Davis of Monument, CO, her brother Gregg Davis of Monument, CO; and sisters, Nancy Kearns of Draper, UT and Christine Eppley of Flower Mound, TX., and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held at the Gypsum Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints - 0934 Gypsum Creek Rd. on  Saturday May 14, 2005 preceded by a viewing from 10:00 to 11:30 and the burial took place at the Eagle, CO Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, her family is gratefully accepting donations to a memorial fund for Kimberley and Larry's children. Donations can be sent to any 1ST Bank to the Kimberley Matthews Memorial Fund. Farnum-Holt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
