It has been a blessing in my life to meet and get to know the Goldberg family - some of the finest people I have met in my life. Doug and Kitsen raised a loving, connected family. There will be many that will miss Kitsen's loving and kind spirit. She was a remarkable woman that brought a ray of sunshine with her everywhere that she went...

To the Goldberg/Smith families. My heart breaks for you all. Kitsy was the light and sunshine in every one she met. We were best friends when we were younger. I've known her since 5th grade. Thinking back, we had so much fun together. We lost touch but reconnected and I am so happy about that. She will be watching over all of you knowing she is very loved. I am so truly sorry for you loss.

My heart is just broken. I remember our son Tyler's first year playing baseball at the Arena. Kitsen was helping to keep us new folks on track with getting uniforms and such. When she found out Tyler was a catcher, she said Oh! Tyler is a catcher. I have a fond place in my heart for catchers. We do too, Kitsen. When she found out that I lost my oldest son to cancer, we bonded over our tragic misfortune of having to bury a child. We cried, we hugged, and became ever connected through our kids. Thanks for listening, Kitsen and thanks for sharing. She wore the love for her family on her sleeve, there was never a doubt of where her priorities lay. You are all in our prayers. We love you all.

The brightest bit of Colorado sunshine went out of the Smith-Goldberg households, but the future light lives on in those treasured grandkids. Carry the flame proudly, little ones.

This is so very sad. I showed horses with Kitsey in high school and kept up with her life for a while through my mom's friendship with Barb, occasionally seeing Scott at WVC. My heart goes out to all her family and friends. She loved her horses!

To the entire Smith family, I was so shocked and saddened to learn of Kitsy's tragic passing. There is no easy way to lose someone you love-you will get "through" it but I know you'll never get over it. I vividly remember Kitsy's infectious energy and laugh from our College Days-I always felt so welcome at the Smith house hold and have fond memories of that time in our lives together. She obviously lived an amazing life, created a beautiful family and touched so many. Hugs and prayers to everyone. Sylvia Nierling (Greg Nierling's sister)
