Larry Edward Berridge of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away on May 25, 2022 at the age of 85 from complications with Sepsis.
Larry was born on March 28, 1937 in Colorado Springs, CO. He graduated Palmer High School, formerly Colorado Springs High school, in 1955. He served as a radioman in the Naval Reserves from 1954 – 1962. One of his tours of duty was aboard the aircraft carrier USS Antietam. Larry was honorably discharged in 1962.
He began working at Current Inc., formerly LooArt Press Inc., in 1953 and held several positions during his 27-year career as a pressman, manufacturing supervisor, production manager and VP Manufacturing. In 1980 he started his own printing business, Control Color Inc. He sold his business in 1992 and retired at the age of 55.
Larry was an avid and well-known golfer, bowler, trap-shooter, fisherman, hunter and antique bottle collector – he achieved distinguished awards in numerous tournaments. Together with his wife, the "snowbirds" wintered in Tucson, AZ where entertaining with their community of friends and guests gave them much joy.
Larry is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart of nearly 66 years, Janet (Teats) Berridge, his three children, Jo, Ron and Tom Berridge; his three brothers, Virgil, Don and Roy; a sister, Linda Berridge. Numerous nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Goldie Berridge and his brother Wayne.
At Larry's request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
