Linda Renneberger Obituary

Linda Kimball Conover Renneberger slipped gently into God's arms on November 30, 2015 following a valiant battle with her many health issues. Her family was by her side. To all who knew her, Linda personified grace and humility. She lived a full, rich life surrounded by so many who loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah; granddaughters: Holly Weller, Chelsea (Travis) Pearson, Stacy Walsh, Molly Sureka; and ten great-grandchildren.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ray, and son, Scott, as well as her parents, Helen and Everett Conover and Merritt Kimball.

Linda was born in Colorado Springs and she loved her community. She and Ray traveled the world - they especially enjoyed San Francisco and New Orleans- but she always looked forward to coming home to the Pikes Peak region and her legions of friends. Along with her late husband, Linda loved to entertain and frequently brought together diverse groups of people from across the community. For years they sponsored cadets from the US Air Force Academy and those many cadets became part of their extended family. Being invited to a party at the Renneberger's was a coveted prize because it meant one would enjoy Linda's extraordinary gourmet cooking and her enormous capacity to create fun.

She attended Palmer High School in Colorado Springs and the University of Maryland where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and was honored as homecoming queen. She was active in the community and served on the Debutante Ball Committee, was a member of Junior League, active with JDRF and as a volunteer at First Methodist Church. She owned a floral design company, Petal Pushers, for many years. Her creativity and love of flowers beautified numerous homes and events throughout Colorado Springs.

Linda Renneberger was special. She was the perfect combination of someone with a lively spirit, a sense of humor, and a gentle, kind soul. She will be missed.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at First United Methodist Church, 420 North Nevada Avenue.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Linda Renneberger to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Colorado Springs, www.jdrf.org.

I sincerely hope that you and Ray will be dancing on the streets of gold. I didn't know of Ray's passing until I read this.
My sincere condolences to the family.
When I worked at the Broadmoor I knew them well. They were wonderful people and I know they will be happy surrounded by the Angels and in God's grace.

Although I moved away from Colo. Spgs. many years ago, Linda has always held a very special place in my heart. We had many things in common, which made our relationship lots of fun. Linda was a kind, gentle soul with a quick wit and more talent than just about anybody else I have known. She will be missed. Rest in peace, Dear Linda. Love, Katryn
