LOIS LOUISE BEACH
April 6, 1942 December 22, 2024
Lois was the 13th of 15 children of Arthur and Anna (Beery) Bielz. Lois, a life-long resident of Victor, Colorado was strong-willed, plain-spoken, and a "doer of good deeds!" She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Loretta, Katherine, Peggy, Martha, Ada and Leona; her brothers, Albert, Bert, Erle, Arthur, Marvin and James; 2 husbands, Cliff Waddington and Bob Beach. She is survived by 2 brothers, Wilfred and Merle; a daughter, April (Brian) Atkins; a son, Wayne Waddington; daughter-in-law Colette Cassidy; step-daughters, Sandy Daniels and Belinda (Carlton) Brown; grandchildren, Amy (Chris) Crabb, Alan (Toni) Atkins, Aaron Atkins, Angelica Beach, Dylan Waddington; step-grandchildren, Desiree Patty, Lauren Shirley, Brandon (Crystal) Brown, Dustin (Kayla) Brown; 18 great grandchildren and her beloved dog, Poseidon.
Lois worked from an early age, a needed mining camp virtue of being resourceful and frugal. She was a Victor Bowling Alley pinsetter, hearing-aid salesman, auto mechanic, babysitter, EMT, Census Enumerator, and cleaner of the Cripple Creek Bank. Her work ethic "badge" was her multi-year championship of the Gold Rush Days Mucking Contest. However, the "Pepsi" of her life was volunteerism; Balke Trust Trustee, Gold Camp Fishing Club Director, member of: Victor Elkettes, Gold Camp Search and Rescue, the Cripple Creek-Victor School Booster Club, 4-H Leader, Organizer of the St. Jude's Bike-a-thon, Share Colorado Food Program, and early Elks Christmas Basket distribution.
Lois was an adventurer. She loved travel; the Baja, Mexico, Japan, Arizona, Washington D. C., Orlando, Las Vegas, California and North Carolina. She was an avid outdoors woman; camping, fishing, hunting. She was the oldest woman in the state of Colorado at 81 years old to hunt, shoot, and kill an elk. In October, she hunted almost daily with Kim Bielz and her great-granddaughter Aleta. No elk! but a lot of fun!
Lois will be missed. She was a gift: courageous, steadfast in troubling times, defender of the underdog, others before self, and fully devoted to family.
A Celebration of Life will be held this summer. Her journey to eternal life"One day at a time!" Lois
