Marty and I grew up in the same neighborhood. Despite my being about a handful of years younger, he was my friend. Marty's leadership and character (even as an adolescent) compelled him to mentor and accommodate the younger kids, myself included.

Over the years when I have reached out to Marty for counsel, I got the same guy from the neighborhood so many years ago...But now being an adult, I was able to see deeper. I saw compassion, integrity, a genuine desire to guide others, void of benefit to himself.

Rare to find someone so selfless. I feel fortunate to have known him.

I hope he's having a great time with his dad, maybe shootin' baskets.

Prayers to his entire family for God's loving embrace, the warmth of peace and understanding, everyday.

I met you years ago when I worked at OCA. We talked on the phone frequently, you always had a joke or a funny story to share. I was very sad to hear of your passing. I wish you love as you start your new journey to the other side. Rest in peace Marty.

Marty, was a great mentor to me at the church, and we enjoyed giving each other a hard time about our respective football teams. He was always in the best of moods and had great advice. I will surely miss him. Prayers go out to his family! Please let us know if you guys need anything!

We are neighbors of the Kuhn's and he always kept our HOA legal items up to par for us. We always enjoyed watching him drive by in his car or on his bicycle as he always had a smile to share and a wave to say hello.

God Bless all the Kuhn Family for your loss and to our community too!

I was fortunate to know Marty for many years through our Hackers golf league.
He was a great guy and just a lot of fun to be around. We all had a lot of laughs and he always had a great story to tell, a joke, or a trivia quiz for us to try to answer. He had quite the knowledge including sports, history and politics and I really enjoyed his company.

He was a friend to all the guys on the league and we will miss him so much.
In fact he meant so much to us that prior to his passing, in his honor our league was renamed the Marty Kuhn Hackers. A fitting tribute to a man that loved the game and the camaraderie that resulted. I'm privileged to call Marty my friend and I can still hear him say, hit em straight!

Marty told me that he believed in Jesus Christ and that he knew when he left he would be with the Lord. I look forward to seeing him again.
To the Kuhn family, may God bless and comfort you during this difficult time.

Though I did not know Marty well as I had only seen him a couple of times, I do know his daughter Courtney as she is married to my nephew, Travis. The incredible quality of her character speaks volumes of the kind of man he was and I know he will be sorely missed by family and friend

Marty has been a wonderful father-in-law to my son, Travis, married to Courtney. How many times have you heard about a young man asking for someone's daughter's hand in marriage in the parking lot of the YMCA after a great game of basketball? Marty and Travis loved playing bball with the guys. Marty will sorely missed and Bill and I (Travis' parents) are so grateful that we have been welcomed into this wonderful family over the years. Thoughts and prayers for all

I first met Marty in 1994 on the basketball court at the downtown Y. We had many a spirited game guarding each other. Through basketball we became good friends sharing many a laugh. Even though I hadn't played ball for a few years I'll miss your friendship Marty. Prayers for your family and all those you touched through the years.

I was fortunate enough to spend many years playing pickup basketball each day at the YMCA with Marty. He was as much fun to hang with on the court as off. Many times we talked politics, sports history, etc. Thanks for being my friend, Marty.

Marty was a great guy. Although we both grew up in the Colorado Springs area we didn't meet until the first day of law school at the University of Oklahoma. We have been friends ever since and even shared an office for a number of years.

Marty was a character and we had many laughs together. We played basketball and golf and he knew more about sports than anyone I have ever known. His impersonation of Howard Cosell was legendary!

We will miss Marty greatly and he will have a place in our hearts forever. Our most sincere condolences to Theresa, his children and grandchildren, we have all lost a great man way too soon.

It was always a pleasure to play golf with Marty in the Hackers league. He would always insist that I tell him a new joke every week, if I didn't have one he would. I will miss Marty and I will pray for his family.

I first met Marty in 2008 when I joined the Hackers golf league. From that first day Marty treated me like a life long friend. One of the things I remember and enjoyed most was talking trivia after our rounds, baseball trivia especially. I am honored to have known Marty, and will always remember fondly our times together on the golf course. God bless you and the Kuhn family.

Our condolences go out to Martys family. Seventeen years ago he made a very dfficult adoption come true for our family. He was our rock. We will be forever greatful to him.
