Orlando Padilla (64) passed away May 7, 2025 in Florence, Colorado. He was born in Laramie, WY., May 5, 1961 to Fred and Angelina Padilla. He moved to Colorado where he finished growing up and married Sheri Padilla and raised a family and ran a business. He was kind, compassionate, intelligent, and irreverently funny. He taught his children to work hard, appreciate everything they had and to find something in life that made them happy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Angelina Padilla, his sisters, Eva Mendoza and Stella Mendoza and his brothers, George, Louis and Tobias Padilla and several nephews and nieces. He is survived by his six children: Cymon Padilla, Serena (Jeff) Caplins, Anthony Padilla and Evan Padilla and their mother, Sheri Wagner and Rueben Canoy Padilla and Angelina Canoy-Padilla and their mother, Ruby Canoy and two grandchildren: Emilia Caplins and Owen Caplins.
Orlando is also survived by his brothers
and sisters: Cecilia (Ron) Mesa, Lorraine (Rudy) Duran, Chano (Kim) Padilla, Sofia Cravens, Elsie (Joe) Kulik, Ralph (Yolanda) Padilla, Bernadette Haffner, Bernadine (Robert) Roybal, Rita Gonzales and Gabriel (Nadine) Padilla and sister-in-law Josephine Padilla. Also including numerous nephews and nieces along with numerous great nephews and nieces and great-great nephews and nieces and an abundance of friends.
The Celebration of Life for Orlando (Lalo) Padilla will be held July 5, 2025, 10:00 a.m. at the Lincoln Community Center 365 W. Grand Avenue, Laramie, WY. 82072. He requested no services but a meal will be served after our get-together at this same location. Please come and share your Orlando (Lalo) stories.
