Pauline Sandkulla-Caraghar Obituary

Pauline "Polly" Sandkulla-Caraghar passed peacefully on May 29, 2011 in Colorado Springs, CO at the age of 73. Although a native of Michigan she lived most of her life along the California coast from Eureka to Half Moon Bay. Polly retired after 24 years in the car business. She served terms on Commissions for Park and Recreation as well as Planning for San Bruno, CA as well as on the San Mateo County Parks and Recreation Commission. She was a 28 year member of AA, her extended family. She was an accomplished tennis player, musician, writer, cook and loving wife. Polly was first married to Charles Sandkulla who survives her. She married her beloved husband David Caraghar in 1994 and moved with him to Colorado in 2002 where he survives her. Also surviving her are her beloved sons, David Sandkulla and Dennis Sandkulla; step daughter, Bridget Rist; grandchildren Dennis Sandkulla, Jr., Anna Marie Sandkulla and Joshua Sandkulla; step grand children, Elizabeth and Bradley Rist. She is also survived by her brother Bruce Mason and her sisters Gala Gasmundo and Shirley Everett. Memorial services will be held at 10:30AM, Saturday, June 4, 2011 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in the Pauline Chapel, 9 El Pomar Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80906.
