Raymond Burgess Obituary

Raymond J. Burgess Nov. 21, 1923-Mar. 22, 2006. Raymond J. Burgess, age 82, a Colorado Springs resident for the past 16 years, passed away peacefully at home on March 22, 2006. Raymond was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 21, 1923, a son of the late Lee and Mary Hallahan Burgess. Raymond married Catherine Costello on April 24, 1948, they were married for 52 years. Catherine preceded Ray in death in December of 2000. Raymond was a retired truck driver from Exxon Oil, retiring after 32 years of service. Raymond loved being with his family and enjoyed music and football. He is survived by his son; Larry (Naty) Burgess of Niceville, FL.; and a daughter, Kitty (Charlie) Moore of Colorado Springs; 18 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by six brothers and sisters. A Memorial Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 2030 W. Colorado Ave. Colorado Springs, CO.
