Robert Frick Obituary

Robert "Bob" Harman

April 15, 2023

Robert "Bob" Frick, age 78, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away on April 15, 2023.

Bob was born on December 5, 1944 in Washington, D.C. to Elihu and Ruth Frick. Growing up in Maryland, Bob had a zest for life and was always seeking adventure. After graduating from high school, he spent a year in Thailand with his family. Upon his return to the United States, Bob enlisted in the US Army as a private. He eventually became an officer and completed his active duty from 1965-1974. He rejoined the Army as a reserve officer in 1977 and retired in 1996 as a Colonel.

One of Bob's active duty assignments brought him to Hawaii. This is where he met his wife, Jeanne Domenico. They were married in Hawaii on August 11,1973. Bob was reassigned to Ft. Carson in Colorado Springs. This is where they made their home. Together they had 2 wonderful daughters - Angie and Susie.

Bob was a teacher/coach while performing his Army reserve duties. Bob taught metal shop and computer science for School District 11 from 1977-2004. He was loved by his students and always found creative ways to keep his students engaged. Many students have kept in touch with him throughout the years. Bob's leadership skills and sense of teamwork made him a successful and beloved coach.

Bob's adventures took him around the world as he traveled to many countries, including his tour of duty in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne Division. Bob enjoyed the outdoors. You could find him sailing in the ocean, hiking in the mountains or riding his motorcycle to Mexico. If he wasn't seeking adventure or playing his guitar, you could find him in the garage building furniture. Bob's favorite motto was "Life is Good".

Bob's family meant a lot to him. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne, of 49 years. Daughters, Angie (Tony) Karr of Colorado Springs and Susie (Craig) Scott also of Colorado Springs; his amazing grandchildren, Elisa, Liam, Logan and Solveigh; siblings, Dane (Sue), Emily and Jack; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bob's funeral services will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, April 28, 2023 at First Congregational Church, 20 E. St. Vrain St., Colorado Springs, CO. A brunch reception will follow immediately after the funeral at Patty Jewett Golf Course, 900 E. Espanola St., Colorado Springs, CO. Bob will be laid to rest at Pikes Peak National Cemetery privately with family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care in Colorado Springs or Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado in Colorado Springs.

Dear Jeanne and family, I am sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I have such fond memories of our times at Corpus Christi and St. Francis. I remember your beautiful daughters and know they must be such a blessing to you. Bob was a dear, sweet, remarkable man and his light will be missed by so many people. I send you all my heartfelt prayers for the comfort your beautiful memories will bring you in the days ahead. I know Jim was surprised and delighted to welcome Bob to the heavenly choir and he is now safe in the arms of our loving Father.

I served with Bob in Vietnam in 1969. He was the Squadron Comm Officer. I was just a lowly Private First Class. He was the finest officer I've ever met. Deepest Condolences to his family! I'll always remember him. God Bless his Family.
