Robert P. Paige Jr., 85, of Granbury, Texas, and formerly of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away on May 7th 2025, embarking on his final journey.
Born September 15, 1939, in Northampton, Massachusetts, Robert was the son of Robert and Ethel Paige and grew up in Gorham, Maine, alongside his brother Phil. A 1957 graduate of Gorham High School, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served for over 20 years, living and working around the world with his beloved wife Janice, whom he married in Winnemucca, Nevada. Together they raised two children, Michael and Lisa, and shared a life full of adventure, love, and travel.
After earning his degree from Southern New Hampshire University in 1969, Robert retired from the Air Force in 1977 and continued serving as Deputy Director of Services at Peterson Air Force Base for 22 years, retiring in 2002. He and Janice built a life in Colorado Springs filled with family, travel, and the outdoors. Following Janice's passing in 2010, Robert completed their shared goal of visiting the seven man-made wonders of the world.
In 2015, Robert found renewed happiness with longtime family friend Donna Reeds. Together, they embraced life with gratitude, travel, and family.
Robert is survived by his children Michael (Katrina), Lisa (Tom); grandchildren Luke, Zak, Mitchel (Anna), Alycia (Sam), Mckena (Trey), Hannah; great-granddaughter Chandler; brother Phil (Gail); sister-in-law Lillian; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He is also remembered fondly by Donna and her family, who brought joy and companionship to his later years.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Shriner's Hospitals for Children or the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Robert and Janice will be laid to rest together at Pikes Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs at a later date.
