Ronald Erickson Obituary

Ronald J. Erickson, beloved father, husband, and good friend, departed this life on June 29, 2005. Ron was born on March 18, 1956 in Alhambra, CA. He is preceded in death by his father, Arvid, and his beloved grandparents. Ron is survived by his wife of 19 years, Elizabeth Ann; by son, Andrew; daughters: Laura and Eleanor; mother, Luella; and sister, Sandie. He also leaves to remember him many extended family members and friends. He will be missed by all of us. Ron dedicated his entire life to his family, to our community and to our children. Ron led his and our children to victory and fun through his continual coaching of their sports teams. Born and raised in southern California, he loved surfing, camping, fishing, and adventures with friends. He was an avid sports nut who loved "his" Minnesota Vikings and California Angels. Andrew remembers how his dad taught him everything he knows about baseball. Laura remembers how her dad always went overboard to do things for her and her siblings. Ellie remembers how her dad loved fly fishing and that he used to sing in bands when he was growing up. Ron loved life and everyone who was fortunate enough to have known him will never forget him. A celebration of Ron will be held Wednesday, July 6 at 4:00 p.m. at the home of Rob and Bobbi Kay, 1055 Broadview Place in Colorado Springs. Dress is casual; shorts and flip flops are appropriate. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Memorial Fund for Ronald Erickson, care of American National Bank, 1095 Garden of the Gods Rd., Colorado Springs, CO 80907.

I did not know Ronald Erickson but his wife is my physican. I know he must have been a wonderful man to have seen the caring and kind wife he married. As far as being a father I gathered from the obituary that he exceeded his childrens expectations. My condolences to his family.
