Ron Fix: What a guy!! What a friend!! Ron was unique in every way. He had such a way of making one feel that they were his dearest friend. It took me the longest time to figure out that Ron was that way with EVERYONE. Everyone was special to him - and all along, I thought it was just me!! The first time that I met Ron, I had been invited to a business group luncheon. I didn't know anyone except the person that had invited me. Ron was the first to come to me, welcome me to the group, and take a few minutes to get to know me. He was so sincere. It was because of him that I joined the group that very morning. We remained best of friends from that day in 1992 until his passing. I loved his laugh, his professionalism, his frankness, and the love that he always showed for his wife, Betty (especially) and his family. He would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. We really miss Ron and have reminiced many times this past year of the fun times we had together. Till we meet again.....Jim and Norma Mullineaux

The minute I heard those words he's gone I felt an emptiness that will never be filled. I thought of the things that I wish I had said. The time I wish I had to spend. The feelings I would never get to express. The missed opportunitys that will never come again to tell you I love you. It has been a year and it is not any easier, any less regretfull. I miss you. We all miss you and will forever.

Uncle Ron,

Wish we'd had more time to get to know each other.
You'll be missed.

January 8, 2010

Ron I have thought about you very much over this past year. It is still very hard some days for me, when I am out in the delivery van. I think that for 31 years we worked together. I think about the times we laughed so hard about the things we have been thru that the tears rolled down our
faces and one of us would say, would you just shut up for a minute so I can catch my breath. The things that only you and I knew about.I want so bad for you to walk thru the door in the hall at the shop and say Chewie are we ready to go yet. When we would meet each other at the Saturday afternoon car get togethers in our Hotrods. When we were out on the Harleys in the wind. Brother I really do miss you. But I know there will come a day when we will be able to Hotrod, ride the scooters and talk about all the things we did as brothers. I love you brother. Howard

Ron, I have thought about you, Betty, Gail, and I a lot this past year. The things we have done together, the places we have gone to. I have thought a lot about when we were kids, and we were each others playmates and best friends.

Brother, I miss having you here to joke and laugh with about all these times. And I miss calling you when I'm some place in the South to tell you how much fun it would be riding our motorcycles on skinny backwoods roads on a summer day. I miss your calls on Wednesdays to find out where I'm at and when I'll be home or as you would put it "when are you landing?"

Ron, I miss these things a lot. But when my time to go comes, I'll see you in heaven.

Always your Big brother,
Love ya,
Bill

It has taken almost a year to sit down and write this and it isn't any easier now. Ron was the "Rock" that was always there for everyone. He had an answer for everyone's problems. Ron was a fun and vibrant friend and brother. No one can take his place or fill his shoes. Thank you Ron for all the fun memories I will have forever.

We wish to express our deepest sympathy to all of Ron's family. Ron and I knew each other as children and second cousins, but then lost touch. We were reunited in 2006 and since then have made a new connection as adults. I will always cherish the short time that we talked and laughed and will always respect him and remember him as a loving, caring, giving person. A light has gone out and he will be missed.
