Lots of practical jokes with Russ. In retaliation for a joke I played on him he tied my shoes to the front bumper of my car and filled the cab of my truck with confetti from the 3 hole paper punch in the office. I noticed my shoes dangling from my front bumper about a week later as I saw the reflection in the window while parking at work. Several months later I was in a car accident in which I rolled my truck and as the truck came to stop on all four tires I felt like I was in a shaken snow globe as the hole punch confetti from every nook and cranny filled the air.

Great memories!

Just saw this on Facebook and sought out this page.

Shocked to learn of Russ' passing. A flood of memories from our days at the Phi Gam house in Fulton. I was a class or 2 ahead of him and we had many a late night chat. I knew then about Russ' condition and he never let it bother him. He worked hard and, yes, played hard in college.

I remember seeing him at a Notre Dame breakfast some 18-19 years ago my wife's a domer) and had too short of time to catch up.

Peace my friend.

Shocked and saddened to hear about Russ. He was a good man. When I found out that I was diabetic Russ explained a lot of the "unknowns" to me. Add me to the list of his many friends from Logistix. My prayers go out to his family.

It was a shock to hear of his passing. He was always so easy to talk to. I wish your family comfort in remembering the good times and knowing that his love for his family was his source of strength. He was so proud of his children, he always shared their pictures with a huge smile.

I worked with Russ at logistix and his wife Cindy at Apple. Russ was so easy to work with and had a very soft spoken calming voice when things got heated up. I wish the warmest regards to all his family and may God bless them with health and support in their time of loss. Pete Hancock(Colorado Springs)

I've been a friend of Russ's since high school. We also went to college together, and he introduced me to his fraternity brother, who would become my husband. I can't begin to tell you of all the wonderful memories I have of Russ over the last 31 years. He was a wonderful man and I will miss him so much. My prayers will be with his family. God Bless you Russ, and Rest in Peace.
Love,
