Ruth Heckart Obituary

Ruth Elizabeth Heckart died on April 24, 2012 at home. Birth September 7th 1925 in Stonington, Pennsylvania to Rev. and Mrs. Robert H. Heckart. Preceded her in death, brother Paul and James and sister Mary; sister-in-law Janice Heckart and niece Tina Ricketts. Ruth graduated from high school in Milton, PA in 1943. She worked for Utilities department in Pennsylvania before moving to Colorado Springs in 1948. Her father Rev. Robert H. Heckart was the President of Colorado Springs Bible College. She worked as his secretary during his time of Presidency. Ruth enjoyed life, she loved reading and doing crafts; making and sending bookmarks to the Mission Filed was one of her highlights in life. Having a Memorial Church built in memory of her parents, in Livingston, Zambia, Africa. She made two trips to the Holy Lands and one mission trip with her father to Mexico. She loved special vacation times in Colorado, and many other states, also Hawaii, Mexico, Canada, and even two cruises. Ruth was loved and will be missed by her family. She lived with her sister Esther. Surviving are her niece, Tamara and family and nephew-in-law Glenn, and great-nephew Cory. Services will be held at Swan-Law Chapel, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, Colorado on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
