Sandy passed quietly into eternal life and the arms of the Lord on Thursday, April 13, 2017.

A longtime resident of Black Forest and formerly Colorado Springs, Sandy was born on January 24, 1942, in Canton, Ohio to William Wayne and Velma H. Brubaker, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Charles D. Crippen and her children, son Terre Stutzman and daughter Karan (Mike) Wild. Also surviving is her sister, Sharon (Butch) Moon. Sandy is also survived by her step-children, Troy (Robin) Crippen, Tracy (Donna) Crippen, Eddie Crippen, Renee Crippen (Willie) Rutherford, seven grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sandy had interesting jobs during her working career including realtor, hairstylist at the Broadmoor Glemby Hair Salon, owning her own Hair Salon, a manager at the Black Forest Gliderport (Black Forest location) and owned a bookkeeping business for many years before her retirement in 2016. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting and art, specializing in chalk.

Services are private.
