Steve and I worked together years ago at Playback in Ft. Wayne. Music was our bond. Steve played bass, I played guitar and we both loved music. I remember vividly, the two of us hanging out at his apartment and jamming. This would have been 1976 or 77 . . . I too am now old.
I was thinking of Steve as a band named Heat Wave playing a song named Boogie Nights. Steve introduced this song to me and for that fact the band by saying, "check the bass grove."
I regret having lost touch with Steve over the years and more so regret having learned of his passing. "Steve, you obviously affected me along with others in many ways." Whenever I hear Heat Wave I will think of you buddy! Peace!!
