Dear Taft Family:

I mourn with you the loss of Col. Taft. I was a young man in Pomona, California when I first met Tom Taft at Catron Motors. He always had a wonderful smile and a good word to say to me. I don't know what year he first started at Catron Motors, I know my father was a lucky man to work with him. I moved to Colorado Springs in November of 1976. I had a choice to move back to Greeley where I had attended college or make a right turn and move to Colorado Springs. The only thing I knew about Colorado Springs was that Mr. & Mrs. Taft lived there. I regret that I only visited with them a few times after my arrival. I have been blessed with a wonderful wife and two great daughters here in Colorado. I will never forget what pulled me to Colorado Springs.

May the Lord be with you always:

Love: Gary H. Catron
