Vickie Connolly Obituary
She was born on April 15, 1958 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to Victor and Mary Emma (McMillan) Marks. She married her high school sweetheart who was the love of her life, Mike Connolly, on August 10, 1979 in Greensboro, North Carolina. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was an avid reader.
Vickie is survived by her husband, COL(R) Michael C. Connolly; her daughter, Michaela (husband Brad) Blankenship; her brother, Vincent Marks; her parents; numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law; two grandchildren: Reese and Cooper Blankenship, who were the joy of her life.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2014 at the United States Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel. Inurnment will be private.
Memorials in Vickie's name may be made to the Pikes Peak Library District, at PPLD Foundation, P.O. Box 1579, Colorado Springs, CO 80901-1579.

Mike, Michaela & Family, I was shocked & saddened to hear of Vickie's passing. She taught Reading for my Mom ... Pat Lichty ... at Pikes Peak Community College for several years before transitioning to the AFA. She was a help to so many students. She would always talk about her beautiful daughter, Michaela, & her husband that she adored, Mike.
