Violet Pace Obituary

Violet Pace, age 74, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1969 passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was under the care of the outstanding staff of Evercare Hospice. Violet was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, born Violet Butler in Seal Cove, Conception Bay, Newfoundland, Canada on December 21, 1936. She moved to the United States and married Albert Pace, JR. on September 26, 1954 in Marion, Ohio and enjoyed 56 years of marital bliss. Violet is survived by her beloved husband Albert (Buddy) and has four children: Randy (wife, Jenny) Pace; Bob (wife, Yvonne) Pace; Albert III (wife, Linda) Pace; and Debbie (husband, Mike) Gower. Violet has two granddaughters; Cristi Gower, of Colorado Springs, Vicki Pace, of Washington DC and three grandsons; Derek Pace and Ethan Pace of Colorado Springs, and Bert Pace of Arvada. Violet was an active member of Circle Drive Baptist Church for many years, she loved to paint and travel with her husband Al, going back to Newfoundland on several occasions. Her life will be celebrated in a memorial services to be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 11th at Circle Drive Baptist Church. A private inurnment will be held at a later date at Logan cemetery. Memorials may be made to Evercare Hospice, 5450 Tech Center Drive, Colorado Springs, CO. 80919
