Virginia Hunter Obituary

Virginia J Hunter 92, passed away August 3, 2017 in Colorado Springs, CO. She was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on March 19th, 1925 to the late Louis and Bertha Ruffolo. She was married for 50 years to Clarence (Jack) C. Hunter who passed away in 2000.

Virginia loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends. Some of her passions were people, politics, the Denver Bronco's and gardening. Her garden full of flowers was the talk of the neighborhood. She was a trailblazer for women's and children's rights and inspired her children to also be involved in their communities. Virginia will be truly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her younger brother Ralph Ruffolo and Sister-in law Shirley Ruffolo, her children Jeffrey Hunter, and son-in-law Ken Shimonishi, Janine Hunter, Aleta Hunter, Jack Hunter, daughter-in-law Jeanne Brown, Allison Hunter, and grand children Austin Greene and Riley Greene.

A memorial service will be held in September in Colorado Springs, Colorado. TBA.

In lieu of flowers Virginia would consider it an honor for you to consider donations to your favorite charities in her name. Thank you.
