Virginia Opincarne Obituary

Virginia Opincarne, age 83, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1967, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2006 at the Pikes Peak Hospice Residence. She was a homemaker and Air Force wife. Virginia Marie Tanner was born on January 2, 1923 in New Castle, Pennsylvania to Charles and Grace (Noss) Tanner. She married Raymond R. Opincarne on May 5, 1946 in New Castle. She is survived by her loving husband: LTC Raymond R. Opincarne, USAF (Ret.) and four sons: Richard D. of Woodinville, Washington; Gary D. of Colorado Springs; Mark R. of Leadville, Colorado and David M. of Seattle, Washington. Seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive her. Two brothers preceded her in death: Charles and Joseph Tanner. Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 AM on Friday, November 17, 2006 at the Peterson Air Force Base Chapel, 455 Vincent Street, Building 1410. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Avenue. Blessed be her memory.
