Mrs. Wilma Jean Jordan, 84, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on March 7, 2022.
Wilma Jean Jordan was born August 16, 1937 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Alberta and Ruben Wilcots. She attended school and graduated from Douglas High School in 1955 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and graduated from Business College in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Wilma Jean moved her family to Colorado Springs in 1965 where she was Manager/Bookkeeper of the Gray Rose Clothing Store, Inc. for 32 years, retiring in 1997. She was then hired by the United States Golf Association and retired from there in 2010.
Wilma Jean later married Roger "Sonny" Daniel Jordan on April 16, 1985. Together, they became members of Friendship Baptist Church on November 28, 1986. She was a faithful member until her health declined; however, she continued to support the Church financially.
Wilma Jean was preceded in death by her husband Rodger Daniel Jordan; her parents Alberta and Ruben Wilcots; her brother Drinnon David Wilcots; her son Nathan Whitmore and her son-in-law John Henry Jones.
Wilma Jean is survived by her daughters Linda Jean Jones, Sherry D. Roby; step-daughters Jacqueline Y. Jordan, Connie C. (Darrin A. Sr.) Warren; grandchildren Shannan (Don) Thomas-Neeley, L. Michelle Abraham, Marcus Deloyd Abraham, Joslyn J. Jordan-Potts, Darrin A. Warren, Jr.; great-grandchildren Joshua J. Hamilton, S. Michael Jordan, Darian J. Neeley, Jalen A. McNeal, Victoria Neeley, Jazmein Abraham and Damarree J. Abraham; great-great-grandchildren Ezma Jordan and Dhruvi Jordan; niece Barbara Jean (Jessie) Campbell; great-nephew Matthew J. Campbell; sister-in-law Helen M. Wilcots, whom reside in Colorado Springs; niece Shirley Kay (Curtis) Brown-Parrish and great-nephew Tony Andre Brown, Jr. all of Orlando, Florida. Wilma Jean also leaves behind a host of cousins to cherish her memory.
Visitation will be held at Angelus Chapel at 1104 S. Circle Dr. in Colorado Springs on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022 from 10-12:00 p.m. and the Funeral Service will immediately follow. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. A Repast will be held afterwards in the Reception Room at Angelus Chapel.

I am deeply saddened to read about Wilma's passing. I worked with Wilma at the Gray Rose when I was in college. She knew everything about the business and was such a smart and gracious woman. There were challenging times; yet she made work fun! I learned so much from her. She will be greatly missed by people who were lucky enough to spend time with her! My condolences to her family.
