In loving memory of Dennis Ray Stogdill, 74, Born in Fresno, California on April 14, 1949 to William Stogdill and Esther Wright. He passed away peacefully at his home after a long illness surrounded by family and loved ones in Colorado Springs, Colorado on January 19, 2024.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Hong Lien, four children, fourteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Dennis proudly served the US Army and Department of Defense for a combined 38 years of service. The majority of his active duty service took place during the Vietnam War, where he completed two tours. After his active duty service was fulfilled, he worked as a paramedic, as well as working as a deputy officer for El Paso County Sheriff Department, then afterwards in civil service at Fort Carson, Colorado.
He had a passion for shooting, gun collecting, hunting and fishing. Dennis loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. He was a devout Christian, who had a deep faith and love for the Lord, and would often would recite scriptures. Dennis was a history buff and you could find him watching documentaries on the History channel.
A memorial service will be held on: February 6, 2024, 10:00 am at Angelus Chapel Funeral Directors, 1104 S.Circle Dr. Colorado Springs, CO 80910
Afterwards at 2:30pm a celebration of his life will be held at the Vietnamese Evangelical Baptist Church, 2704 Verde Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80910
