Travis Dennis
November 23, 1992
March 27, 2026

Travis Garrick Dennis, 33, of Black Forest, Colorado, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026, surrounded by his family, after an unexpected illness.
Travis was born on November 23, 1992, at Sutter Roseville Hospital in Roseville, California, to Richard Austin Dennis and Tina Lee Dennis (Tarbell) and is remembered by his sister, Skyler Nicole Dennis. Travis was known for his exceptional intelligence, with a natural curiosity for computers and technology. He graduated from Pine Creek High School in 2011 and went to the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, earning a bachelor's degree in computer science with a minor in mathematics in May of 2018. He was a Certified Google Cloud Architect and Engineer.
Travis leaves behind his grandmother: Eleonore Tarbell, Aunts and Uncles: Traci Lynn Witter (Dennis) and Joel Witter; Dee-Anna Leigh King (Dennis); Donna Linda Schleeter (Tarbell); Thomas Rupert Tarbell and Trisa Helen Tarbell (Sahrle), as well as many cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
Travis was welcomed into heaven by his Grandparents: Phyllis Louise Brymer (Dennis); Samuel Richard Dennis, Jr. and Joseph Lewis Tarbell, Aunt: Angela Louise Zamarripa (Dennis); Uncle: Michael Joe Tarbell and God Parents: Peggy-Sue and Rusty Johnson.
Whether playing sand or indoor volleyball, jogging, or spending time outdoors hiking and fishing, Travis embraced an active lifestyle. He also enjoyed weightlifting, had a passion for firearms and target shooting, and was a member of the Rocky Mountain Robotics Club. He cherished his daily long walks around the neighborhood with his family, often sharing treats with neighborhood dogs along the way. An animal lover at heart, Travis deeply cared for his cats, and he lived by the family motto, 'Go Big or Go Home—Always over the top.'
In honor of a life well lived and deeply loved, family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life for Travis on April 24, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 East Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado.
