James Frerichs Obituary

James Allen Frerichs, 72, of Guffey, Colorado died March 29, 2011 in Guffey. He was born August 26, 1938 in Le Mars, Iowa to Harold and Alice (Renken) Frerichs. James served in the United States Army. On April 28, 1962, he married Karen Rogers. James was part owner of Igloo Ice Company and was a sand blaster before retiring in 2001. He loved to read. James is survived by his wife, Karen Frerichs; children, Brent (Jennifer) Frerichs, Ann Marie Frerichs, Craig (Amy) Frerichs; grandchildren, Sierra and Desten McCauley, Chance, Louis, Chad, and Faryn Frerichs. He was preceded in death by his parents. The Bull Moose Restaurant in Guffey will close in honor of James' Memorial Service that will be held at 12:00 P.M., Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Bull Moose Restaurant. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice, 601 Greenwood Canon City, Colorado 81212.
