Mr Konselman was the only reason I finished high school and then went on to college. He believed in me and was truly a wonderful friend. Colorado Springs will not be the same. He will be missed.

It feels as though one of the best eras has now passed. Mr Konselman represented authority and fairness to all. I personally know students who became true standouts because of his compassion and leadership. Thank you Mr. K for helping my generation go forward. God's Blessings to your family.

What a insightful man ! He knew what I was up to before I did it....from '61-'65 and beyond. He knew my potential and encouraged me to be the best I could.
As I drove through Prescott, AZ today a wildfire was burning in the adjacent forest...maybe a signal that the fire is not out and the spirit lives on...Thanks, Mr. K, God Bless

My condolences to the Konselman family. I will always remember Mr. Konselman as a very strict principal and you never challenged his authority and you went along with the program. He was an excellent principal and I always respected him. Mr. Konselman and superintendent W.W. Bundy made an excellent team at Manitou High School. They didn't come any better. As a member of the class of 1964 I thank Mr. Konselman for his leadership and wisdom. He will be missed.

I'm so saddened to hear of Mr. Konselman's passing. He was very involved with my class of '64 not only as the school administrator but as a talented counselor to his students. Judy and I count him as one of the influential adults in our then young lives.

Dear Konselman Family,

Please know that the entire Murphy Family sends you many thoughts and prayers.

As a young girl, I had the pleasure of meeting John through his lovely daughter Sue. She and I worked together for years and grew to be life-long friends. During that time, I was fortunate to witness first-hand, the unique and rare bond that Sue and John shared!

John was a gentile, smart, and witty man who made a difference in the lives of many people. He was my guidance counselor at CMHS and I was confident he would navigate my future, and help me find the college that suited me.

Each day, he would greet me with that warm smile and make sure I was ready for the day. He deeply cared for his students and he went out of his way to make each student feel special.

John will live forever in our hearts and memories!

Love,
