Judith Marquez Obituary

Judith Cox Marquez Oct. 11, 1930 - May 24,2013 Resident of Walnut Creek Our precious Judith joined her beloved husband Raymond after a long battle with congestive heart failure, she was 82 years old. She passed surrounded by her two devoted children and grandchildren. A native of Darlington Indiana, Judith was a lifetime member of the ITU and spent her career as Printer/Proof reader for the Chronicle/ Examiner for 36 years, retiring in 1993. She had a love for reading historical novels, taking long walks and enjoyed her travels with her husband to many State Parks across the US. She is survived by two children - her son Jeffery Paul Marquez (Gerri) and daughter Marta Jo Redmond (Tracy), seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. In addition she is survived by a beloved sister, 3 sister-in-laws and 3 brother-in-laws. Judith is remembered by family and friends for her great sense of humor, quick wit and contagious laugh. We are comforted by the knowledge that she has joined her beloved Raymond and is free of the pain and suffering she endured the last year of her life. The family will have an intimate spreading of ashes ceremony for Raymond and Judith on August 11, 2013 and a celebration of the beautiful marriage of Judith and Raymond in September, 2013.
