I still think about Ed several times a year ... and it's 2025. I used to work for him. I was an Army Major ... much like him. He was a hard SOB to work for. I last saw him at his Ft. Carson office before his cancer was considered terminal. I gave him a kiss of the cheek and I told him "I love you man ... you are one of the last great ones". Ed just smiled as we hugged for an extended period of time.

I'm so sorry to hear that Ed has died. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. I’m so sorry that I was not able to attend the services but I was TDY’d to Atlanta.
We will all miss Ed; I have worked for him for a short period during 1988 – 1990 and he was always the best that I have known.
Later we have worked to gather on many projects for many years; he has touched so many of our lives and made us all better person.
What I am feeling right now is hard to put into words other then losing a great friend!
God bless you Sue and your family!
Very respectfully

It was an honor to work for Ed for the first 11 years while he was The DRM Comptroller. Ed was a very fair supervisor treating each employee respectfully. Ed's friendship will be greatly missed. You never had to wonder what Ed was thinking because he would speak his mind.
May God be with each of Ed's family member during this difficult time of separation. My prayers are for each of you to be comforted with the peace of God day by day. Love in Christ, Bill Shanahan

I was honored to be one of Ed's chemo nurses at Rocky Mountain Cancer Center. He maintained a quick sense of humor and grace as he went through his often difficult therapy.
Thank you Ed and Sue for letting us be a part of your life. You will be missed by all of the nurses.
