Vesta Faye Fulghum, 96, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed into her Heavenly Father's loving arms on Saturday, September 14, 2024.
A 60 year Colorado Springs resident, Vesta was a Southwestern College (Winfield, KS) graduate, public school teacher, private piano teacher (State/Nationally Certified), and a proud member of The Colorado Springs Chorale for 46 years. She also knitted thousands of caps/booties for babies and afghans for cancer patients at local hospitals and served as Deacon at her long-time church, First Presbyterian.
Vesta is survived by her four sons, three daughters-in-law, four grandchildren, and three nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Don, and a daughter-in-law, Sara.
Vesta's Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, October 23, at First Presbyterian Church, 219 E. Bijou St. in Colorado Springs, CO 80903, at 1:00 pm (live stream at https://memorials.sardius.live). A reception will follow. Condolences can also be made at ShrineOfRemembrance.com.

I was a neighbor of Vesta's for many years. I have never met a more loving, generous, giving person than Vesta was. I have kept in touch with her since she moved to assisted living. Just about the time she passed away I called her and there was no answer. She was so healthy and I was shocked to see her obit. It breaks my heart to know I will not have her in my life anymore. She was always waiting for the trumpets to sound and I hope she did! God got one of the most wonderful woman who has lived her life for Him.
