Virginia Eims Obituary

Virginia Emily (Kreft) Eims was born in Council Bluffs Iowa April 7, 1927. Her parents were Emil C. Kreft and Mary Orleana Thompson and were farmers in Iowa.

Ivan LeRoy Eims walked into a Maid-Rite in Council Bluffs Iowa one day, saw a brown-eyed blonde and tried to get her attention by breaking off a chicken bone with his teeth and that began a 57 year romance with LeRoy. She married Ivan LeRoy Eims June 21, 1947. LeRoy died January 4, 2004.

They have 3 children, Lawrence LeRoy Eims, Rebecca JoAnne Hinebaugh, and Randolph Steven Eims. She leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Joy Elise, Amber Lynne, Christine Ondreya and CJ and 6 great-grandchildren.

Virginia walked into the presence of Jesus her Savior July 12, 2014 at the age of 87. Services will be held July 15 at 2:00pm at First Presbyterian Church.

A memorial service celebrating her extraordinary life will be held in mid-August. Details regarding the memorial service are pending.

In lieu of flowers Memorials may be in her name, Virginia Eims Memorial Fund and sent to Ent Federal Credit Union, PO Box 15819 Colorado Springs CO 80935
