On this day, eighteen months after losing Tanner, I choose to reflect on how lucky we were to have had him in our lives for as long as we did. Mom

Tanner was a better friend than I ever deserved. Its been many years since we have seen each other. I always thought we would reconnect some day. The countless hours we spent playing halo is some of the most fun I've ever had. Playing without you just isn't the same. I don't just miss you because of a video game, I miss you because you were a good person and a good friend. See you on the other side brother.

I do not think I will ever find a way to say goodbye to my best friend since third grade. It is hard to remember a time that you were not part of my life. Thank you for the countless memories, support, and friendship. I will never have another friend like you. I wish I had the right words to honor your memory, but it is too painful to explain the incredible man you are and how much I miss you. Instead, I will defer to Jim Croce to tell your story in the song “I Got a Name”. I know you would find it fitting. I miss you brother and will hold you in my heart for the rest of my days.

Tanner, I miss you and think of you all the time. Summer visits to Louisiana will never be the same. I wish we could go back to Grandmere's house again and sit around the pool and BBQ. The memories of those summers are so special to me. I love and miss you always, Aunt Becky

I know we didn't know each other super well, but I always told my mom what nice people you and Dylan seemed to be. Like the kind of nice that could only exists in heaven. We miss you. I hope you know how you have impacted my life. 'Til we meet again. . .and I vow to cheer for the 49ers, even against the broncos just for you man!

We miss you so much every day. Not a day goes by that we don't think of you. I still have all the knick knacks that we picked out at Ross for our apartment. Dylan and I played video games today and thought about you the whole time about how much better our team would be with you here. I try and talk football with Jill but she really needs someone here that knows anything about football. I really miss my brother.

There is not a day that goes by that you aren't thought of and missed! There are so many days that a memory sparks and I find myself laughing out load but then there are others that I can't fight back those tears! Tanner you were one of a kind, big heart, gentle soul, witty and true to your family!!! Our love for you will never fade and our memories of the wonderful man you were will only grow stronger. You are in our hearts each and every day! We miss you more than words can express. Our hearts continue to ache for Aunt Jackie and Uncle Kurt and Dylan.

Why? That's what we ask. The truth is, we may never be able to know for sure why. But we do know that there is no single 'should have done' or 'could have done' or 'did' or didn't do' that would have changed that why. All that love can do was done. With all our love, Don and Carol.

I cannot believe it's almost been a year. It doesn't seem possible. You are in my thoughts daily. We miss you so much. There are so many times that I think you should be right there with us. I still hear your chuckle. I hope you have found peace, my friend. You will never be forgotten.

Tanner you have always been extra special to me. I came up to Colorado Springs to take care of Dylan and your Dad while your Mom stayed in the hospital making sure that you wouldn't be born before it was safe for you to do so. You were still premature but you looked like a big baby when I first saw you compared to Dylan when Grandpa and I first saw him. Grandpa Don and I were so happy to welcome you into our family. We never stopped being thankful that you were our Tanner. Being a Beauvais boy you got into mischief and well aquainted with time outs and dusting baseboards.You loved coming to the cabin and sledding down the hill with your cousins. Grandpa and I enjoyed watching you grow up and becoming a young man. We were so proud of the thoughtful, caring young man you grew up to be. You knew what you wanted to be and you went after it and succeeded. You were always there for me after Grandpa Don died and part of my Grandma relay team
You picked me up in Ft. Collins took me to Denver where someone else picked me up and took me to Castle Rock where someone else met me and took me to Pueblo. I remember you always wanted to be the one who got the first drink of egg nog on Christmas Eve. You often suceeded. I remembered one Christmas eve when you arrived in a dress shirt and dress pants. I told you that you were so handsome that I was going to have to beat the girls off with a stick. Being your usual man of few words said "Please don't." Your Mom and Dad gave me your Coca Cola cookie Jar and I have it in my chia cabinet where I can see it every day. When I walk by Coca Cola collectables, I tear up and then I smile remembering you my wonderful Tanner man who I shall love and cherish forever. Grandma Bev

So many times I think to myself that, " I wonder if Tanner will be at ______?" and just as many times I get pulled back to reality. From football (49ers) to Halo and thinking I'll run into at grandmas. I miss you.

Tanner, It does not seem possible that you are not here with us. I look for you at every corner and at times I have even called out to someone who looks like you. Though I may not see you in person I carry you with me in my heart every day. You must know at times I have yelled at you for not being here! (I can yell pretty loud so you may have heard me.) I find myself laughing every time I hear someone say they will use their GPS to find my house just like you used to. You were so directionally challenged!! I miss you more every day. There have been so many times this year when we have all been together, and I think, just for a second, that you will walk through the door any moment. And then you don't, and it's like a punch to the gut all over again. You stopped being my cousin a long time ago. You were just the youngest brother in our little troop. You made me so angry after hours of domination in a video game. You made me laugh harder than just about anyone I know, with your dry wit and straight-faced delivery. You refused to ever really reciprocate a hug for years, but I finally wore you down. I love you, and I wish I would have said it more. I'm sorry. I miss you and I can't help but fall apart from time to time, which I know you wouldn't approve of, but I won't apologize for that. It happens, and I am sure that it will continue to happen. You are missed. You are loved. You will be with us, always.

I am so proud to have had Tanner for a newphew. He was an adorable child who grew into a funny, fun-loving, responsible adult who was loved by everyone who knew him. So glad you were a part of my life. I love you and will miss you.

To Tanner's family and friends, my deepest condolences. It is hard to see a loved one die especially when they are so young. I didn't have the privilege of knowing Tanner, I just happened upon his Obituary in the Denver Post Newspaper. He sounds like he was an amazing young gentleman. I am so sorry for your loss and for the World's loss of such a fine young man. May God Bless you all during your time of grief. My condolences to Tanner's family and friends.

Tanner was one of my fond memories as a 5th grade teacher at Gold Camp. He was smart, athletic, caring and respected by his classmates. I shall always remember his smile. My prayers go out to you. I know you shall miss him deeply.

My deepest sympathies are with the Beauvais family. I knew Tanner briefly during the time he purchased his home, he struck me to be a smart, responsible, fun loving, and appreciative person. Funny memory: We met for dinner one night to finalize contract stuff, at some obscure Korean BBQ restaurant - Tanner, without batting an eye - ordered Octopus. I thought that was awesome.

I did not know Tanner well, but I have become good friends with his parents over the last few years. They are a wonderful and loving family and I know that Tanner's loss will leave a void that can't be filled. I'm so sorry for you all.

Your time here was so brief it was our fortune to be so blessed to have known you. Your smile will always be remembered.
